From September 19th to 21st, the Geological Disaster Intelligent Monitoring and Risk Warning Engineering Technology Innovation Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources, in collaboration with the Beijing Institute of Disaster Prevention, conducted a training course on geological disaster prevention and control platforms and applications under big data for developing countries, which included more than 27 experts, scholars, government managers, and technical personnel from six countries including Cuba, Pakistan, Laos, Armenia, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe, Conduct indoor and field training on geological hazard monitoring and early warning topics. The special training covers three aspects: the research and development progress of "star space ground deep" collaborative monitoring technology, the application practice of intelligent monitoring and early warning information technology, and the experience of building China's geological disaster monitoring and early warning system. At the meeting, in-depth discussions were held on the selection of monitoring equipment for key disaster types and key areas, the construction and operation costs of monitoring points, the construction of disaster information platforms, the construction of international cooperation and exchange platforms, and the establishment of international disaster prevention and reduction cooperation mechanisms.
After the meeting, all students went to Maoshigou, Shidongzi Village, Fengjiayu Town, Miyun District for a field scientific investigation. They learned about the overall design of monitoring and early warning in the ditch, the layout of monitoring instruments, and performance parameters. They visited the disaster simulation laboratory of Miyun Monitoring Station, observed demonstrations of emergency monitoring equipment such as drones, 3D laser scanning, and slope radar, and gained a detailed understanding of the overview of sudden geological disasters in Beijing The deployment of monitoring equipment for various types of disasters and the construction of monitoring and early warning systems. The attending members expressed their intention to apply the successful experiences and technologies they have learned to their country's disaster prevention and reduction practices. They hope to have more opportunities to participate in such professional training in the future, understand new technologies and methods in the field of disaster prevention and reduction, and promote the development of their country's disaster reduction cause
