The Oil and Gas Volume, as an important component of the China Mineral Geology Journal series, is not only the most comprehensive, systematic, and in-depth professional chronicle for comprehensive research on oil and gas resources, filling the gap in China's oil and gas mineral geology, but also elevating China's oil and gas geological research to a new level, providing basic support and scientific basis for oil and gas geological scientific research and industrial development, It has important practical and profound historical significance for ensuring the security of China's energy resources.
The Oil and Gas Volume was led and organized by the Petroleum Exploration and Development Research Institute of China National Petroleum Corporation, with Academician Zhao Wenzhi as the chief editor. More than 450 oil and gas geologists from more than 30 units participated in the research and compilation work. The chronicles are divided into three parts, namely upper, middle, and lower, totaling six volumes. They comprehensively collect data on oil and gas exploration and scientific research achievements in China's oil and gas basins, summarize the difficult development process of China's petroleum industry, divide exploration and development stages, and summarize the significant achievements made; The system has summarized the exploration and research achievements of nearly 900 oil and gas fields in China, and for the first time achieved a comprehensive research summary of discovered oil and gas fields in China; We have studied and compiled the petroleum geological characteristics and exploration and development achievements of the main oil and gas basins in four major oil and gas regions, including the western, central, eastern, and maritime regions. We have pointed out the future direction of oil and gas exploration, providing scientific basis for guiding the planning and deployment of oil and gas mineral resources and exploration work; This has summarized and improved the research level of China's oil and gas accumulation theory, enriched China's unique petroleum geological exploration theory, and provided a strong data foundation and technical support for the development of regional geological mineralization theory in oil and gas. In addition, the book also outlines the theoretical and technical requirements for future oil and gas exploration, and proposes directions for expanding the remaining conventional and unconventional oil and gas exploration fields in the future.
