This large-scale map and monograph is a comprehensive research achievement in Northeast Asia, compiled under the guidance of Earth system science, cycle evolution theory, and global dynamics. It is an important scientific research achievement achieved by Shenyang Geological Survey Center in recent years.
This large-scale map spans five countries geographically, including China, Mongolia, Russia, North Korea, and South Korea. The mapping range starts from Lake Baikal in the west, ends at Sakhalin Island (Sakhalin Island) in the east, starts at Shantar Island in the north, and ends at Bohai Bay in the south; Geologically, it has undergone the superimposed evolution process of two major tectonic domains, the ancient Asian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean, with extremely complex geological structures. This monograph is mainly based on regional unconformity interfaces, with the aggregation and fragmentation of supercontinents as the main line. It sorts out and establishes the stratigraphic magmatic metamorphic tectonic framework of the entire eastern section of the Paleo Asian tectonic domain and the northern section of the Pacific tectonic domain, and systematically summarizes the history of regional tectonic evolution; Summarized the main characteristics of the Mesozoic active continental margin tectonic framework in northeastern China and its neighboring areas, and explored the tectonic attributes and episode division of the Yanshan Movement; We have sorted out the geological characteristics of different pre Mesozoic tectonic units in northeastern China and its neighboring areas, and described the regional tectonic evolution process from the perspective of global supercontinent cycles; We conducted comprehensive research on the topic and proposed some new insights into the tectonic framework of Northeast Asia. This achievement provides fast and effective basic geological information for in-depth research on basic geological science issues in Northeast Asia, as well as for national spatial planning, natural resource management, and major engineering construction; It fills the gap in the geological map database system in Northeast Asia and provides basic data support for geological big data, "geological cloud" construction, and social services.
