The Ministry of Natural Resources recently announced the results of the 2022 Natural Resources Science and Technology Award. There are a total of 137 award-winning achievements, among which Zhu Xun won a special award for his theory of mineral exploration, which is one of the 96 Science and Technology Progress Awards. In addition, there are 13 mining awards and 28 youth science and technology awards.
13 prospecting awards are respectively: genetic mechanism and prospecting breakthrough of magmatic copper nickel deposit in Paleozoic orogenic belt in China, discovery, exploration and evaluation of Dunde super large iron zinc gold deposit in Hejing County, Xinjiang, theoretical, technical and methodological innovation and application of prospecting breakthrough in Zedang ore concentration area, Xizang, key theoretical and technical innovation and significant achievements in evaluation of oil and gas reservoirs in ultra deep carbonate fracture zone, general survey report of deep and peripheral gold deposits in Laowan Gold Deposit, Tongbai County, Henan Province, discovery, exploration and evaluation of Mount Wuyi arc basin system and other new knowledge guiding the Wuyi metallogenic belt, major breakthrough in deep and peripheral exploration research of vanadium titanium magnetite in Hongge mining area, Yanbian County, Sichuan Province, major breakthrough in Karqia'er, Ruoqiang County, Xinjiang Fluorite exploration, theoretical research on rich phosphate ore mineralization and major breakthrough in concealed ore prospecting in Kaiyang, Guizhou Province, major breakthrough and innovation in graphite prospecting in Xigou, Shuangyashan, Heilongjiang Province, theoretical breakthrough and practice in exploration of low-permeability reservoirs in Shijiutuo uplift steep slope zone, research on structural evolution characteristics of Sichuan marine craton basin and its control on oil and gas enrichment, discovery of large atmospheric shale gas field in Nanchuan, southeast Chongqing, and key exploration technologies.
The reporter found that, including the 13 achievements explicitly designated as mineral exploration awards, about 60% of the total awards were awarded in the field of geology and mining. For example, deep mineral resource exploration technology and equipment that have won the special prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award, innovation and application of key technologies for optimizing the allocation of mineral resource development and utilization, high coal rank coalbed methane efficient development geological guarantee technology and demonstration application that have won the first prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award, research and demonstration of key technologies for geothermal resource exploration and evaluation in typical areas of the Yangtze River Delta, intelligent processing and collaborative restoration technology for spatiotemporal information of land ecology and landscape damage in mining areas that have won the second prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award, research and application of key technologies for biodiversity protection and restoration in mining area ecological restoration, key technologies and applications for integrated management of national mineral resource planning data that have won the Youth Science and Technology Award, and research on comprehensive zoning and development protection strategies for major resource and environmental issues.
