A 6.2 magnitude earthquake occurred in Jishishan County, Linxia Prefecture, Gansu Province
At 23:59 Beijing time on December 18th, a 6.2 magnitude earthquake occurred in Jishishan County, Linxia Prefecture, Gansu Province. According to the unified deployment of the Ministry of Natural Resources, the China Geological Survey quickly organized an expert team to rush to the disaster area. As of 19:00 on the 19th, a total of 33 people from 4 working groups have been dispatched to the disaster areas of Gansu and Qinghai provinces, carrying professional equipment such as drones and 3D laser scanners. The first 6 people have arrived at the epicenter area of Jishishan. The working group will cooperate with the emergency management department and local government to carry out on-site geological disaster investigation and investigation, drone aerial survey, monitoring and early warning, risk assessment, and emergency response.
In addition, the China Geological Survey also organized relevant affiliated units to provide geological disaster reports and maps in the disaster area as soon as possible, coordinated and arranged satellite transit photography, and conducted earthquake analysis and mechanism research based on geostress monitoring data. Some of the report materials have been submitted for disaster relief use in a timely manner.
