Recently, the Municipal Planning and Resources Bureau invited the chief expert of the national water resources basic survey, experts from the China Geological Survey, the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, Tianjin University and Tianjin Water Affairs Bureau to form an expert group to review the results of the Tianjin Groundwater Resources Survey, Monitoring and Evaluation (2023) project undertaken by the Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources. The expert group unanimously agreed that the basic data of the results are detailed, the logic is clear, the content is comprehensive, the conclusions are credible, and the quality level of the results is excellent. The heads of relevant departments of the Municipal Planning and Resources Bureau attended the review meeting, and relevant leaders of the Second Geological Team participated in the review.
Tianjin Groundwater Resources Survey, Monitoring and Evaluation (2023) closely combines the latest national water resources basic survey requirements. For the first time, starting from the total amount of water, it uniformly divides the spatial distribution of water-bearing rock groups, the distribution range of underground fresh water, salt water, mineral water and geothermal water, and constructs a three-dimensional hydrogeological structure model for the entire city; the extraction volume is refined from the district and county level to the township level, which greatly improves the statistical accuracy of the extraction volume, and optimizes and updates the submersible hydrogeological parameters based on previous high-precision results and annual water level burial depth, and summarizes and evaluates the groundwater resources from different angles; at the same time, relying on the national groundwater resources online evaluation system, a groundwater resources survey, monitoring and evaluation database for 2023 was established, realizing the integration and sharing of multi-source data. The experts at the meeting put forward valuable opinions and suggestions on the project, highly recognized the achievements made by Tianjin in the groundwater resources survey, monitoring and evaluation work, and emphasized the need to take into account the conversion relationship and conversion volume research between surface water and groundwater, and provide more opinions and suggestions to the management departments.
The expert group emphasized that the results of groundwater resource evaluation should play a role in many aspects such as land space development and utilization, rational development and utilization of water resources, and maintenance of ecological function construction. The project team still needs to forge ahead in subsequent work, starting from solving practical problems of resources and the environment, insisting on the organic combination of practical problems and theoretical methods, constantly improving work details, doing a good job in the transformation and utilization of results, promoting theoretical innovation and technical method progress, and truly serving the actual work.
